Cardinals

I'm always fascinated with birds. I love watching them from our deck patio or even from our room window. There's plenty of birds to see in our backyard.
Cardinals are really pretty! Do you know the difference between male and female cardinals? This type of bird has a distinctive crest on the head and a mask on the face which is black in the male and gray in the female. The male is a vibrant red, while the female is a dull red-brown shade. Cardinals are active songbirds and sing a variety of different melodies.
Sorry for the not so good clarity. I was at our room window when I took these photos.
