Book Fair

How's everyone all doing?! I hope y'all had a fantastic Easter! Our weekend was fine. We went on a 10mile bike riding last Sunday afternoon. And now I'm exhausted and my legs are extremely sore. I'm so impressed the little girl did not complain at all! It was a great exercise though.
Anyhow, Akesha's school had a book fair last week. So hubby and I decided to stopped by, and let the little miss pick 2 books that she really liked.  She chose the Dinosaur book and a cowgirl book.
I really like their library entrance door.

Fighting Hunger Together

Not many people are aware that there are already over 50 million Americans who are not sure where to get their next meal. Unemployment has increased dramatically in recent years and this has caused more and more families to experience hunger. With no stable source of income, families in several communities do not know how they can provide for their needs. Walmart has created an initiative that can help alleviate hunger in communities.

From April 9 through April 30, Walmart is launching a Fighting Hunger Together campaign with Feeding America and four of the most recognizable food brands in America – General Mills, Kraft, ConAgra and Kellogg’s- to help fight hunger especially during spring when food contributions become scarce. Consumers can join this initiative through in-store participation or through Facebook. On April 9 to April 30, consumers can Vote to fight spring hunger with Walmart through Facebook and support the communities that are in need of hunger relief.

The over 200 communities listed are those that have the highest unemployment rate. The top 21 communities that will get the most support will receive a total of $2 million donation from Walmart. The 20 runners-up communities will be given $50,000 each. Consumers who are also active users of the popular social networking website can also help spread the word to create awareness about the initiative.

Customers can also participate in the Fighting Hunger Together campaign by going in-store from April 9 through April 30. By purchasing select products from General Mills, Kraft, ConAgra and Kellogg’s, they can help donate meals to communities that need them most.

Happy Easter!

I was inspired to decorate our dining table the other day, and this is what I came up with. A spring/easter theme.

I also made my daughter an Easter Tree. She was having fun decorating it.

Happy Easter everyone!

Review | Slap Wrap Coolers

I was so pleased when slapkoolers.com sent me a complimentary slap bracelet to review. Thanks a lot! Well, how are you familiar with this product? It’s like the 80's slap bracelet, but for your beverage.

The SlapKooler™ band is a banded 'slap koozie' beverage insulator that you can 'slap' on your can, bottle, arm, leg, friends, or people you just meet.

I like using it for my coffee cup. It has this durable no-slip grip that keeps my beverage in place and warm my hand.
The slap wrap will fit any normal sized can or bottle, and will retain it's shape around the object it is placed on. Two metal recoiling strips run lengthwise layered inside the 1/4" foam insulation. Slap Koozies are also a great giveaway for promoting a band or marketing your business.

Get yours today and customize it!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Dental Plan

Most people work on having their health insurance because they know that it can help them whenever they need any type of medical treatment. But not everyone understands the importance of having their own dental plan. It is only when they need dental procedures that they are made aware of how important having a dental plan is. Dental procedures can be quite expensive and having a dental plan can help patients get the treatment they need without having to spend as much. They only have to pay a percentage of the cost of the procedure. There are insurance providers that offer discount dental plan to consumers. It is ideal for those who do not have the resources to avail of expensive dental plans. A discount dental plan provides individuals with basic coverage. Whenever plan holders need to undergo certain dental procedures, they can use their dental plans so that they do not have to pay for the full price of the treatment.
