Soccer Girl

We enrolled our 5-year old KINDERGARTNER in soccer this year. Our initial plan was to either enroll her in gymnastic or taekwondo, but hubby and I decided to sign her up to soccer instead.

She had her first soccer practice last Saturday with her team, and it's fun seeing her KICKED the ball.

After 1.5 hour of practice with her team, we took her to the Air Force Base soccer field for a one-on-one practice with hubby. Way to go Akesh!

I'm officially a soccer mom! Ayay, I'm gonna be super busy these days. Regular soccer practice is a MUST!

Hello, how's everyone all doing? I hope your weekend was great! Our weekend was a fantastic one. We went to Six Flags Fiesta Texas last Sunday. It was a treat actually because for the second time in a row, hubby's company was voted as the # 1 best place to work in IT. Such an honor to be part of the reward.

The whole park was closed to public. USAA paid for the whole park! Plus, we got a complimentary ticket to come back. How cool, right?

The line was super quick and we did most of the rides. Enjoying the water ride for the second time. I didn't go with them again because I was soaking wet.

Hubby went on all the roller coaster rides. Usually, Six Flags caters 30,000 people in a day but last Sunday they only cater 5,000 people. I like it because it wasn't too crowded.

Hiking

Last weekend we went to a nearby park and went hiking for half day. It's been awhile since we had our long walks. Honestly, I'm a total wimp when it comes to hiking.

Government Canyon is actually a preserve park, so it's incredibly clean and well kept.

It was almost 120 degrees on that day, but we were able to accomplish our goal. Hiking in the sweltering heat and humidity in Texas can make it difficult to stay hydrated.

Gold Medal

It's been over a month since my daughter started kindergarten. She loves and looking forward to go to school everyday. She met some friends in her class already. The funny thing is she doesn't seem to remember some of her friends names...lol!

Anyhow, last Thursday daughter got a medal for being a great student in the class. She was so excited when she showed  it to me. She was holding her medal up to her cheek and had a huge grin when she saw me at the waiting area.

Great job anak! Mama and Papa are so proud of you. Keep it up!
She got a new lego toy from us as a reward for being good at school. She also got a reward from the school principal, a ring pop!...ehhehee!

Water Park

How are you guys all doing? I hope you had a wonderful weekend. My family and I just got home awhile ago and feeling a little bit exhausted. We went hiking despite it was very hot (over 100 degrees) and very dry. It was a good exercise though!

Anyhow, I'm sharing some photos I had last labor day weekend. Since it was Military day last Sunday, we decided to take my BIL and his kids to Schilliterbahn waterparks. We got 1/2 off price the regular ticket. Regular admission is $45 and up.

It was a perfect day to cool off. Akesha and her cousins were having so much fun!

The place is pretty huge! Lots of exciting rides and rides for all ages. I really love the wave river.

My husband was an insurance agent, and one organization that helped him to be successful was Toastmasters. His district manager required him to become a Toastmaster to give him more confidence. He ended up becoming the president of his club and even competing in competitions. This is a great organization to help people get the confidence they need to be successful in life. Black & White Guest Room

I know it isn't impressive but I'm pretty much satisfied with the outcome of our black and white guest room. My initial plan was to paint the walls and have a sage green and brown theme, but I changed my mind and decided to go with black & white.

I still have to work on the headboard, and I'm planning to paint it black next week. 

My black and white photos fits in perfectly. Right now, I'm working on our master's bedroom. I'm hoping to get it done before the end of the month. I might also have to check out dealfun.com this weekend.

Cousins in Town!

How's your weekend guys?! I hope y'all had a great one. I've been pretty occupied lately and I haven't been able to update my blogs, sorry for not returning your visits. I'll visit you back for sure!

Anyhow, we HAD a HAPPY 3-day weekend HOLIDAY! My BIL and his kids came down to SA to spend the HOLIDAY with us. It was great having them. Akesha had a blast spending time with her cousins. They arrived  Friday evening and left this morning (Monday).

Saturday we went to the AF Base to purchase the water park tickets and took the kids with us to see the model planes at the base.

It was very hot that day. So we decided to have lunch at home. Later that day we went to the Riverwalk and took the river cruise. Some photos can be found HERE. We had a lovely dinner at Hard Rock cafe that night.

Sunday was a great day for everyone because we went to one of the popular water parks in SA, the Schilliterbahn. Will share photos later.
