How's weekend y'all?! I hope you guys had a fantastic one. Our weekend went fine. We can't do much outdoor activities these days, and that's because of the heat. We've been having 3 digit temps almost everyday. The heat is just unbearable.

Since I don't have interesting photos this weekend, I'm going to share this picture I took during our vacation to Orlando last month. Photo was taken when we took a 10 minute ride on one of Magic Kingdom's rides, it's called the "Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover". T'was indeed a fun ride. Just look at their happy faces....:)

America's Premier Fine Wine

Wedding anniversaries are special and most couples like to celebrate them in a special way. For some, going on a much needed week long vacation at a romantic place is the best way to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Some couples choose to eat dinner at their favourite restaurant complete with a fancy meal and fine wine. Others try out the newest restaurant in town. Other couples though choose to have a simple celebration and just prepare a special dinner at home and invite a few close friends to celebrate the important occasion.

Silver and golden wedding anniversaries are extra special and in such occasions, it is usually the couple’s children who make the preparations to celebrate the occasion. They usually plan for a big celebration which may include a renewal of vows. Relatives and close family friends are invited with celebrations lasting the whole day. They are also encouraged to give suggestions since they also know the couple well. It is such a momentous occasion that their children would want it to be as memorable as possible. Visitors would come bearing various gifts such as wine gifts or anything meaningful that the couple will surely appreciate. With a celebration carefully planned and attended by people that are important to the couple, a wedding anniversary celebration is surely something that everyone will always remember.

Classroom Decorations

The classroom is considered as the second home of our children. They spend a number of hours in their classroom each week. Teachers, school administrators and even parents agree that the way a classroom is decorated has an effect to the students. Classroom Decorations must be selected carefully. It depends largely on the age group and grade level of the students that will occupy the room.

For younger students, particularly those in pre-school level, decorations that are colourful and eye-catching works well. Using colourful and bold letters in the message boards will make it easier for them to see the message right away. Classroom walls can also be decorated with posters made by the students themselves. This will encourage them to be more creative and inspire them to create more posters.

For older students decorations that make the students more comfortable and keep them motivated to learn are advisable. The classroom must be decorated in such a way that students are encouraged to actively interact with each other

Classroom decorations are tools in making the room a more functional place for both the students and the teacher. They have to be chosen carefully to create a place where students are motivated to learn and be better students.

Animal Kingdom Adventure

Here are some photos of us on our third adventure in Orlando, Florida. Animal Kingdom is the biggest Disney World's theme park in terms of acres. The safari itself is the size of The Magic Kingdom.

We really had a great time at Animal Kingdom. Three things I enjoyed the most was the Kali River Rapids, It's Tough to be a Bug!, and the Kilimanjaro Safaris.

A photo opp with sisRose while waiting for the ride. The Kali River Rapids is one of the most popular attractions within the Animal Kingdom, and hence also has long queues. My guess was we waited for almost 2 hours.

The ride was super fun, and we're all soaking wet. Me and Akesha got wet the most when our raft dodge into a huge waterfall. EJ was our captain.

Wildlife Ranch Adventure

As I've mention in my other blog, hubby and daughter took me to one of our favorite destinations here in SA, the Wildlife Ranch. A home to over 50 species of animals from all over the world. It was a fun day and we enjoyed feeding the animals. Thanks hon for the post birthday celebration.

Texas Feels Like Home

Have you ever been to a place where you just felt at home the second that you stepped off of an airplane? I’ll tell you that I’ve never had a place that felt like “home.” I was an army brat growing up, and it seemed like I was never going to find a place that I wanted to put down any permanent roots. I met a man that lives in San Antonio, Texas, but we met while I was living in Toronto. After many months of talking on the phone, I decided that I would go for a weekend to visit. I’m not even kidding when I say that I’ve never felt more in love with a place in my entire life. I love everything about Texas. The guy and I had an amazing time, but even if we hadn’t, I still think that I would have decided to move to my favorite state in the entire world! I will be a Texas girl until the day I die! I quickly sold my place, bought a new one in San Antonio. My Birthday Bash!

How's your weekend everyone? I hope y'all had a wonderful one. Our weekend was fantastic! Last Saturday was my big day. Ayay, 2 more years to go and I'll be 30...weeeeee! We had a simple celebration at home. It was very special because hubby cooked dinner for me on my birthday.

I woke up hearing hubby and Akesha's loud voices singing the "Happy Birthday" song. It was so sweet of them. Thanks Hon and Akesh for everything. You guys really did a great job! I was surprised when hubby got me a globe...weeeeeee...been wanting to buy one for a long time. Looking forward to travel the world someday.

Hubby's new specialty....am not talking about the cake...lol! thanks hon for the effort.....:)

Recently, I told my wife that my company is relocating me to work on a new project. Last Day of Swimming Lessons

Akesha's swimming lessons ended last Friday. I couldn't believe how much progress she had made in just 2 weeks. The instructor was great with our daughter and made her feel very comfortable.

Akesha holds her breath, kicks, and swims with her arms. She can also swim and pull herself up to the edge. She can't wait to take another swimming lessons next year.

She got a certificate! I thought she won't get all the stars, bust she passed each category! Congrats again Akesh.

First Day of School

How's your weekend everyone? I hope you had a fantastic one. Anyhow, last Tuesday was our daughter's first day of school. She goes to a reputable Christian Academy school here in SA.

She was so excited that day, but not really for us. It was an emotional moment leaving her behind. I honestly felt noxious that day. We just can't believe that our preemie baby is now a kindergarten. 

Hubby took a day off from work so he can witness his daughter's first day of school. 

Breakfast and lunch is included in her tuition fee. And since it's her first, we walked her through the cafeteria.

Then we picked her up after class. I thought she was overwhelmed with all our questions. She told us how happy she was, and can't wait to go to school everyday....lol!

Our daily schedule is hubby will drop her off to school and I'll pick her up after school. Good luck Akesh!
